Fashion Illustration

Good morning !

I woke up seriously thinking about focus on fashion illustration, it is so relaxing and at the same time keeps me in touch with clothes and with the big aim of reaching the textile I want in paper.

I feel astonished everytime I see some fashion illustrations work as for example:Cedric Rivrain

I also found another illustration for Balmain by Sophia Drevenstam , it is the first time I see something of her work but I can say is strong passes the message and that she can call herself a real artist!

Wilde Fashion

I can resist to everything except tentation" - This iconic quote from Oscar Wilde targeted my childhood as my father was always saying and i didn't really understand until later !

After that I started being easily fascinated by his intelligent sense of humour and today in love with his outfits which inspired me a lot!

War and Peace from 1956 starring my favorite actress is a great movie and a fashion show at the same time. Audrey looks stunning in every outfit and the russian army is perfectly characterized

Barbara Hulanicki Biba & the 60's

my first "contact" with Biba was when i felt in love for one of Barbara Hulanicki patterns ( iwas so madly in love that I wanted to put it all over my house) and was after that that i searched to know more about this amazing designer/inspiration and about the store that so a "it" in the crazy sixties, a meeting point, a place where Mick Jagger and David Bowie used to go and also the place where Anna Winter launched her career !

Barbara Hulanicki was born in Poland and started in the world of fashion as a freelancer at the age of 19 illustrating covers of fashion magazines like Women's Wear Daily, British Vogue, the Times, the Observer and the Sunday Times.

In 1964 she founded Biba with her late husband, Stephen Fitz-Simon. 

Nothing like Barbara herself to describe the impact of Biba:

"Wherever the girls went there was silence. Elly was completely blue: blue make-up, blue clothes, blue cap and blue curls. Eva was all green, Del all violet. Some girls were all in black...  in their full regalia looking as if they had just left a Fellini set."

An original band that always makes me happy! Also so different starting in the music ending in the number of members of the band.

I hope it will be iconic in some years, I haven't heard of them in a while but i do hope this project goes on.

Everything is so cool in sweden! I do confess i have a bit of my heart in that country because of some very good friends and awesome moments but it is true. Everything seems to work and you can breathe style in the streets :)
