Yayoi Kusama

Despite a scenography work for college I've been researching lots of visual/plastic artists and only now ( I'm almost embarassed ) I found the work of Yayoi Kusama a great artist and a huge sucess in the 60's with her futuristic and avant-garde installations. She really knows how to create and reach the very known "dream spaces" working with simple materials as glass and getting a lot use of colors.

The japanese artist moves to New York in 1957 and joins movements as Psychédélisme and Pop Art.

She worked with great names as Joseph Cornell, Jasper Johns, Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni, Claes Oldenburg and Andy Warhol in happenings, installations, photos, collages etc.
